Out Of Body Experience (OOBE)

 

Out Of Body Experience atau kalau dalam istilah Indonesia (Jawa) rogo sukmo tidaklah harus berarti  jahat/demonic.  Bahkan peristiwa semacam ini ada tercatat di Alkitab (2 Kor 12:2-3). Berikut adalah dialog email Topan Ripan dan sahabatnya Ben H Swett perihal tersebut.

Dear Ben,

I want to share  my   experince ..

The first time was when I was  +/- 20 . It was like a dream,  I was sleeping, but then  floating above my body, I could see my body sleeping under, my room, the  table and window.  I got scared because  I thought I was dying and then  I feel like going back to the body and felt light and fresh.

I asked my senior about this, the answer was  I was possessed or it was something demonic. He told me that I should pray more often. Again I thought to myself maybe that was just a dream.

Another story, I was doing my ki breathing exercise  (from Aikido) oneday, and  then “floating “ again , 'shaking' when 'it' started to float,then a funny thing happened,  I can see myself  although it was  not very clear, a little bit dark while I was doing my ki breathing. I did not know for sure it was me or someone else because I felt that someone was watching me and the whole room but at the same time felt that  the mind of the "person"  watching was me.

What do you think Ben ?

Dear Topan,

What you have described here is fairly common. Typical beginners' OBE. It can be dangerous for two reasons. One can lose track of time and leave the body looking like it was dead. And other entities may enter the body while the owner is absent unless it is guarded by angels. That is why some unholy ghosts try to get people to leave the body -- they want it themselves.

But OBE isn't necessarily demonic. It is mentioned in the Bible (2 Cor 12:2-3). It has been discovered by mystics all over the world. Roman Catholics call it "bi-location". Therefore, OBE is something human beings can do. Whether the ability to leave the body is good or bad depends on why one does it, where one goes, and what one does while out of the body. The ability to control oneself while out of the body is important. Remembering to pray to God and Jesus while out of the body is very important.

I do not understand this ..some unholy ghost try to get people to leave the

body. Is this by talking to the ghost ? or unconsciously ?

I want to have it again, like a child first know how to ride a bike... Are there any "save" practice or anything ?

Ben :

Mostly by talking. The ghost may encourage OBE while it is around. Some writers describe "walk-ins" as higher beings, and so persuade people to turn their bodies over to them. This is wrong. Holy ghosts do not *want* to operate a human body -- and any ghosts who do want to, are not holy.

I still say don't force having an OBE.

Ben :

It is only safe to leave your body when you are surrounded by God's angels .  Therefore, keep working on two-way prayer. If and when you find you are doing two-way prayer while you are asleep and dreaming, then you will probably remember to do it if you find yourself out of your body.

Ask God or Jesus to shine the light on you, like a spotlight. Then remember that the direction this light is *coming from* is spiritually UP
